The client is a Salt Lake City based tile and flooring installation company. They prefer to work as flooring subcontractors for larger projects and engaged our SEO services in order to target the general contractors that hire their services.

Our Strategy

In order to target general contractors, we decided to target the “high level” terms such as tile installers and tile contractors rather than more job-specific terms like bathroom remodeling or kitchen tile installation. We wanted to limit the number of inquiries for small individual projects.

Step 1: Rewrite page copy and optimize title and h-tags across the site.

Step 2: Audit existing and create new listings on sites such as Yelp and Angie. These are known as name, address, and phone number (NAP) citations and they are key for local SEO as they communicate to Google our site’s authenticity and authority.

Step 3: Create a series of service-based landing pages to target queries like commercial tile installers and location-based landing pages to target users who are searching for tile installers outside of the immediate Salt Lake City area.
