The Client
A local auto repair shop in the Chicagoland area serving our community. Previously, the client relied on the basic digital marketing tools bundled with their CMS hosting. They came to us looking to expand their reach and visibility through SEO, PPC, and social media.
The Challenge
The client was invisible where it mattered most: local search and local feeds. Their existing setup wasn’t built to compete for high-volume services like oil changes and tire work, and their Facebook page functioned as a digital billboard rather than a tool for building trust with the community they served.
The Goal
Increase local visibility and qualified traffic. Turn that traffic into repeat customers. Build a brand the community trusts for everything from an oil change to a major repair.
STRATEGY
Search, Spend, and Social
Strategy
Our priority targets were high-volume services like oil changes and tire services — a “foot-in-the-door” strategy. Get a large pool of local customers in the door with great service, and they won’t want to take their car anywhere else, whether it’s a small service or a major repair.
SEO
We implemented a relatively straightforward local SEO strategy.
- On-page optimization for their existing landing pages as well as building out a few more to target second-priority queries.
- We created a variety of NAP citations in local and auto-focused directories.
- Supplement with linkbuilding and blog posts.
PPC
We built multiple geo-focused campaigns across Google and Meta. Google search campaigns captured customers actively hunting for services, while display campaigns owned the Chicagoland area’s digital real estate. Meta used still images and videos to showcase seasonal promos. We kept copy and creative fresh with continuous optimization, segmented campaigns by service type for laser-focused spend, and delivered optimized for qualified leads.
Social Media
We built a content calendar that positioned the client as the community mechanic, not just another shop. Educational posts (maintenance tips, seasonal advice) mixed with community highlights (local events, customer stories) and service showcases. Consistent, authentic content that turned their Facebook page from a digital billboard into an actual community hub. The payoff: organic growth, real engagement, and customers who don’t just recommend the shop — they tag them, share them, and champion them across local groups.
